The original idea of the founders of the Mousquetaires group was to develop logistics structures which would allow stores to minimise their storage areas so as to maximise their sales areas. Hence developing high performance logistics became an additional way of guaranteeing the lowest prices.
In order to stock and transport at the lowest cost, and supply the stores, the Mousquetaires have created their own logistics structure. This is made up of:
- regional warehousing platforms for all products (fresh, dry, general non-foods goods). Located next to major road axes, and often in agricultural production zones, these are easily accessible by truck and supply the stores several times a week;
- a substantial fleet of trucks which guarantees that fresh and high quality products will be available to the stores.
- powerful modern IT tools which optimise the management of supplies, operations and the transportation of goods.
