International alliances
Arena
The ARENA alliance was created in 2000 to create mass non-food purchases for what are today eleven international allies. Thanks to ARENA, the Mousquetaires have strengthened their international purchasing power for Bricomarché and improved the quality/price ratio of the products for consumers. The participants are:
- RONA (Canada): The leading independent distributor of DIY and garden products in Quebec, with 620 stores, has had a signed partnership agreement with the Mousquetaires since 1997.
- ZEUS (Germany): With more than 1,700 stores in Germany, Zeus is number 5 in DIY distribution and number 1 in materials retail on the far side of the Rhine.
- MICA South (South Africa and Great Britain): Les Mousquetaires have signed an alliance with Mica Plus LTD which numbers nearly 200 stores in South Africa where it represents a 19% market share. MICA Hardware has a presence in Great Britain and numbers 160 stores (1% of the UK market). MICA Hardware has a presence in Great Britain and numbers 160 stores (1% of the UK market).
- DITAS (Denmark): With 450 stores including 220 for DIY, this chain has a 45% market share in its country.
- MITRE 10 (Australia) has 900 stores and represents more than 15% of the market.
- BRICOSTORE has 14 stores distributed across Hungary, Rumania and Croatia.
- HOMEMART DECORATION LTD (China): This Chinese DIY chain numbers 29 stores located in the largest cities in the country.
- JUMBO-MARKT AG (Switzerland): is based on a network of 39 stores chiefly distributed in the North of Switzerland.
- BRICOFER : This Italian DIY chain is based on around one hundred stores, 75% of which are franchised.
