Ethics and social responsibility
Respect and ethical conduct
All the Mousquetaires’ major import contracts incorporate an ethical approach and a code* of good conduct is inserted, which covers the age of starting work, forced labour, working hours, remuneration, living conditions and the prevention of fire risks.
The Mousquetaires have undertaken to have this signed by all their suppliers in Asia. Since 2004 a programme of social audits has been launched for suppliers in Bangladesh.
* This code is based on conventions 138 and 182 of the International Labour Organization, the social responsibility standard SA 8000 and the European Directive on the protection of young workers.

Commitment to public health
Les Mousquetaires have established in July 2008 a program of automated external defibrillators to fight against the sudden deaths of adult cardiac origin. One hundred defibrillators will be installed in the various Group entities (headquarters, logistics, production units ...) and each independent operator has the opportunity to install one in his outlet.
