Our commitments as responsible producers:

  • Our mills are supplied with “Blé de nos campagnes” (country wheat) certified flour for three showcase products.
  • Brittany, Poitou-Charentes, Lot-et-Garonne, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Ardèche: in the four corners of France, our sites produce as close to consumers as possible.
  • Our production units continually strive to meet standards of excellence and to guarantee healthier products.

Le Moulin de la Chaume: La Campanière

Le Moulin de la Chaume is the leading industrial bakery for Groupement Les Mousquetaires. It was built in 1983 and completely renovated in 2015.

The La Voulte-sur-Rhône (Ardèche) site now hosts an ultra-modern company in a 25,000 m² facility. The company is specialised in prebaked frozen bread and offers five kinds of products: prebaked and unbaked white bread, prebaked and unbaked special breads and traditional bread prebaked on a stone floored oven under the brand Campanière.

Le Moulin de la Chaume has 85 employees, 4 production lines, 50 references and manufactures 80 million units and 20,000 tonnes of finished products every year. The site, already ISO 9001, ISO 50001 and IFS higher level certified, has been committed for nearly 10 years to a process of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) continued improvement. Its objective: operational excellence.

Les Moulins de Saint-Armel (Saint-Armel mills), specialised in king cakes

The Saint-Armel production mills cover 12,000 m² in Cléguérec, in the Morbihan region.

Through their four production lines they produce 20,100 tonnes of bakery and patisserie goods for Intermarché and Netto stores.

The products are quite diverse: no fewer than 120 references, representing 175 million units per year, comprise the Saint-Armel mills’ catalogue.

Bread, baked and pre-proven pastries, brioches and briochettes, king cakes or frozen pies are all shipped daily from the bakery in Brittany. This Groupement Les Mousquetaires production unit is ISO 9000 certified.

Les Moulins de Saint Armel

Les Moulins de Saint-Aubert (Saint-Aubert mills): the tradition of baguettes

Unbaked and pre-baked baguettes and half-baguettes, pre-baked and unbaked boulots, special unprocessed grain, whole grain or linen seed baguettes: in Beuvry, in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Les Moulins Saint-Aubert currently have an annual production of 120 million pieces, or 34,000 tonnes. The 12,000 m² site is devoted to industrial baking and owes the size of its site to continual modernisation, and its name to the bishop of Cambrai who, in the 17thcentury, baked bread for the poor.

Major investments and the creation of a fourth production line, in 2016, made it possible for this unit, which employs 75 people, to double its capacity and to meet new customers’ needs. The Saint-Aubert mills now offer traditional hearth baked goods. The bakery has obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 22 000 certifications, and is in the process of becoming IFS-BRC certified.

Les Moulins de Saint-Preuil, the bread experts

In the heart of Petite Champagne, in Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire precisely, Les Moulins de Saint-Preuil (Saint-Preuil mills) are specialized in different sorts of bread: baguettes, traditional breads, sandwich bread, unbaked and prebaked white bread…

Overall, this 8,190 m² site and its 78 employees produce 24,000 tonnes of bread per year, including 69 references, and bread for the Campanière brand.

The modernisation of the four production lines and the optimisation of the quality control of the 69 million units delivered each year to the Intermarché and Netto stores have made it possible for Les Moulins de Saint-Preuil to obtain certifications such as ISO 9001 and EFQM C2E.

This production unit is currently committed to the WCM approach, in order to improve its overall efficiency.

Certifications and continuous improvement

The different bakery production units of Groupement Les Mousquetaires are involved in continuous improvement efforts, and have obtained various certifications:

  • ISO 9000 and ISO 9001 for quality management
  • ISO 50001 for efficient energy management
  • ISO 22000 for food safety
  • IFS and BRC, which guarantee the safety and quality of food products

The World Class Manufacturing approach is a continuous improvement method that is based on 14 pillars. These include health and safety, quality control,skill development and protecting the environment.

Along these same lines, the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM®) has developed management standards and several levels for recognising excellence. C2E rewards a “commitment to excellence”.
